A Girl at My Door (2014) A Girl at My Door (2014) So sad because we know this happens all over the world. This is just the Korean version. But it could happen anywhere. Doona Bae won Best Actress at the “Asian Film Awards” for her performance. So if you are her girlfriend It’s a solid performance. There are a few subplots that aren’t necessarily in the movie. But that’s only a minor criticism. I would like to recommend this movie. But not for the faint-hearted. A young police officer was sent to work in a small village. and recruits a teenager to protect her from her mean stepfather. A very sad film depicting the abuse of orphans. She desperately bonds with a new authority figure in town (played by the mighty Doona Bae) in order to escape her personal hell.
