จะเป็นอย่างไรเมื่อหญิงชราวัย 70 ปี กับหนุ่มนักศึกษาวัยมหาลัยต้องมาอยู่ร่วมห้องเดียวกัน “กึมบุน” หญิงชราวัย 70 ปี เธออาศัยอยู่คนเดียวมาตลอดเพราะเธอไม่มีครอบครัวที่ไหน กับ “จีอุง” ชายหนุ่มนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยที่ตัวคนเดียวเขาจึงต้องตั้งใจทำงานทุกอย่างไม่ว่าจะเป็นงานพาร์ทไทม์เลี้ยงสัตว์หรืออื่นๆ เขาทำทุกอย่างที่สามารถทำได้เพื่อหารายได้ให้ตัวเองไว้ใช้จ่าย ในฐานะที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการออมทรัพย์ของรัฐบาลกับโครงการ Elderly Living Alone ทั้งกึมบุนและจีอุงจึงพบว่าตัวเองต้องมาศัยอยู่ในห้องร่วมกัน กึมบุนเธอเป็นหญิงชราี่ไม่ชินเมื่อมีคนมาอาศัยอยู่ในภูมิลำเนาของตัวเองและเธอค่อนข้างจะเป็นคนเคร่งครัดและมีกฏระเบียบ ซึ่งกฏข้อเดียวที่ที่ยากเกินสำหรับจีอุงนั่นคือคุณยายห้ามไม่ให้เขาใช้ห้องน้ำในห้อง นั่นทำให้จีอุงต้องคอยไปใช้ห้องน้ำของส่วนกลางซึ่งเป็นเรื่องยากสำหรับเขา และอีกข้อคือเขาห้ามเลี้ยงสัตว์ห้ามนำสัตว์ทุกประเภทเข้ามาอยู่ในห้อง เรื่องราววุ่นๆจะจบลงอย่างไร ทั้งสองจะสามารถปรับตัวเข้าหากันได้หรือไม่
