Till (2022) HD Mamie Till becomes an educator and activist in the civil rights movement after the death of her 14-year-old son Emmett, who in 1955 was severely beaten. He was shot dead and thrown into the Tallahatchie River with a 75-pound cotton fan tied to it. Around his neck was a barbed wire by a white supremacist who whistled at a white woman. while visiting his cousin in Money Mississippi state Mamie Till confirmed that the coffin containing her son had been left open to show the world what they had done to him. The film is told entirely from her point of view. Emmett Till’s murder is heard but does not appear in the film.
